The United Way of Calvert County (UWCC) is an independent, separately incorporated organization governed by local volunteers who serve only Calvert County.
UWCC began by supporting six agencies and now serves thirty partner agencies. In 2009, UWCC currently supports 36 programs that serve over 35,000 people in Calvert County.
United Way has evolved from a fundraising organization into a community building partner, focusing on three vital impact areas: meeting basic human needs, building bridges to success for children and youth and fostering family health and safety.
United Way of Calvert County was incorporated on April 23, 1980. Since then, UWCC has raised almost 9 million dollars.
