Career Vs. Calling June-3-2010

WOMEN’S INITIATIVE EVENT TO PRESENT CAREER VS. CALLING
Powerful. Practicle. Personable. These are some of the words that describe local motivational speaker Frank Shelton. Franks has a passion for people. Frank has a “way with words” and all agree that he has a heart for people. It has also been said that Frank is one of the most gifted storytellers in America! His book, “Career VS Calling is a must-read for anyone with the desire to make their life at bat count. Shelton walked away from a lucrative career on Capital Hill to answer his calling to motivational speaking. “The Calvert County Women’s Initiative is honored to have Mr. Shelton come and speak to a local group of women that on many avenues can relate to career vs. calling choices they struggle with on  a daily basis”, said Sue Hu, Women’s Initiative Chairperson.

The Dinner & Seminar will be held on Tuesday, June 15 at 6:00 pm in the banquet room at  Mamma Lucia’s Restaurant in Prince Frederick.  Cost for the Dinner & Seminar, including dinner, wine and dessert is $45 per person and advanced payment is required by June 11.  All proceeds from this event will benefit the Women’s Initiative Mini-Grant Program, providing funding to local programs that support women and children in our community. To RSVP, contact Lisa Howard at 410-286-0100 or e-mail her at initiatives@unitedwaycalvert.org. Checks can be made payable to United Way of Calvert County at P.O.
